Terms of Service & End User License Agreement
1. License
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use the GetiPlusOne application on devices you own or control, for your own learning purposes. The desktop app is free to use. Your account-based data (cloud sync) is tied to your account, not to a specific device.
2. Account
Some features (cloud sync) require an account. You are responsible for keeping your credentials secure and for activity under your account. Do not share, resell or publicly post accounts.
3. AI features
Online AI features (such as sentence grammar analysis) use an AI model that you configure yourself. You are responsible for complying with the terms of service of whichever AI provider you choose to connect.
4. Donations (optional)
We may offer optional ways to support development. Donations are voluntary, non-refundable and grant no features or other entitlements.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to: reverse engineer, modify, redistribute or resell the application; bypass or tamper with license verification; use the app in violation of law; or upload content you do not have the rights to.
6. Intellectual property and third-party components
The application, its design and its content (except user-provided material) remain our property or that of our licensors. The application includes open-source components under their respective licenses; the full list of components, versions and license texts is shipped with the application (Settings → About → Open-source licenses) and published at https://getiplusone.app/licenses/. This includes a GNU GPLv3 build of FFmpeg, which the app invokes as a separate program; the corresponding license text, copyright notices and source-code download instructions are included there. Nothing in this agreement limits the rights granted to you by those open-source licenses over those components. Imported dictionaries, media and books remain subject to their own licenses — you are responsible for how you use them. The bundled offline pronunciation audio was generated from public-domain TTS voices.
7. Changes and discontinuation of service
We may add, change or discontinue features. We will give reasonable advance notice before discontinuing a material feature.
8. Disclaimer and limitation of liability
The application is provided "as is". To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential damages, or for loss of data you failed to back up.
9. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws applicable at our place of business, without prejudice to mandatory consumer protection rules in your country of residence.
